Liven Up a Room with a Centrepiece
One of the greatest tricks of interior decoration is simply to add a centrepiece if you're looking to liven up a room. All you have to do is add an item to a room that is meant to be the centre of attention -- it should be a focal point around which everything else in the room revolves around. All other items in the room should act to support it.
An item need not be expensive for it to be the focal point of a room! Examples of “focal points” are numerous: it could be one wall painted in a different colour, a decorative lamp, a vase, a piece of furniture, a work of art, a design item, etc.
For a slightly offbeat style, you can elegantly spice up your interior by choosing an intriguing or eccentric object to act as your centrepiece. An extra touch of originality provides awesome results!
