Inspired by two of Pantone top 10 colours for Spring 2017, Kale and Greenery, I am focusing this February on a fascinating colour: green. Its multiple shades all tend to evoke either a healthy life, a new beginning or a communion with the nature. How does green make you feel?
There is no better time than the beginning of the new year to talk about green, evocative of rebirth, sustainability, health and nature. These past years we have seen the word G.R.E.E.N taking more and more importance in our daily lives. Maybe because of our climate change. Or maybe because we need to run away from industrialised cities and dive into healthier, greener environments. Yes, green is healthy, fresh, revitalizing, natural, smart, unifying, global.
Here below are a few selected pictures of inspiring interiors featuring green and its various shades.
– Green’s darker shades like Pantone Kale are evocative of nature and the great outdoors – and very elegant I think -. Pantone says they “conjure up our desire to connect to nature”.
– Pantone describes Greenery as “a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew. […] the fortifying attributes of Greenery signals consumers to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate.”
– Another shade of green is Aqua Foam that I particularly like. A softer tone than Kale anDECORATING THE HOME WITH GREENd Greenery, it is also quite easy to pair with other neutrals, brights, deeper shades, pastels and metallics.
So, how green are you?
Tell me which is your favourite shade of green? Do you have green elements at home? Which are they: wallpapers, decorative accents, textiles, plant pots?
